The 2017 Scottish Technology Teacher’s Association Annual Conference was held in Shawlands Academy in Glasgow on Saturday 11th November 2017. I was delighted to present the keynote to open the conference, building on a theme of improvement and momentum in Scottish Education, with a specific focus on Technology Education.

During my speech, I discussed the need for initial teacher education (ITE) in Scotland to use the opportunities offered by graduate and professional apprenticeships (another post to follow on this theme soon!) and a recognition that we need to invest in a new National Centre for Technology Education.
